Artist's Comments

This piece was made for the 'Spooky Tales' Challenge over at Manip-Equips:

The idea to this piece simply popped into my mind when seeing the image of the cat and so I tried to capture the idea of Stephen Kings's Pet Cementery. In the book (or movie) a family moves to a new area near to a Pet cemetery. When their cat dies a neighbour shows them the way to an indian graveyard, which lays behind the actual pet cemetery. The family buries the cat in that place. And the next day the cat is back, very much alive...

This piece is my baby. More than 12 hours of work (plus some pauses to get a breath in here or there) went into it, from 10:00 am in the morning to 11:30 pm in the night. But I simply had to do it in one goe.

I have another Stephen King's book illustration in my collection of favories! I'm so happy. Oh, and I personally know this rabbit. :lol:I love the cold haze, it's very real and creates the perfect atmosphere for the whole artwork. Beautiful.

I love the soft, hazy feel for such a dark subject matter. This is gorgeous!

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done...”

LOL, it never was intented to be soft and hazy. But always my pieces end up with the soft, hazy drawn look. I think it has to do with the way I make my pieces.

Thanks for the wonderful comment.

*Hugs*

You do? Because the rabbit comes from the Ukraine? Or is that your stock account on StockX Change? LOL

Thanks for the lovely comment, darling.

I wish I could make things that soft. Do you use a tablet?

You're welcome. :D

No, a simply good old computer mouse. I wish I had a tablet, but I cannot afford one.

Nooo, because I used the same rabbit in my "Red" artwork. There is something evil in its curious eyes, easy to remember.

You do all of that with a mouse?! :worship: I want to get a tablet so bad I can taste it, but yeah, they are expensive.
